SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts includes Jubilee Star as new delivery point in Singapore HSFO MOC

Platts has started reflecting the very large crude carrier Jubilee Star as a delivery point in the FOB Singapore fuel oil assessment process from July 17, 2017.

Platts proposed the inclusion of Jubilee Star as a delivery point in a subscriber note published May 31.

The VLCC Jubilee Star is operated by Nathalin Shipping Pte Ltd as a floating storage unit or FSU, anchored at Tanjung Pelepas in the Johor province of southern Malaysia.

Including Jubilee Star, there are now six floating storage units approved as additional delivery points in the Platts FOB Singapore fuel oil assessment process. The standards applicable to approved floating storage units require that sellers specifically name the vessel used as delivery point at the time of submitting offers to Platts for publishing.

Any offer of oil from vessels accredited for the FOB Singapore fuel oil assessment process would be on a FOB FSU basis. Sellers cannot unilaterally nominate an approved vessel as a delivery point in FOB Straits trades.
