Subscriber note: Changes to publishing of Asia precious metals prices

Platts is proposing to make some additions and changes to its publishing of third-party precious metals prices for Asia. Platts is proposing to add new prices provided by Engelhard -- the Asian Engelhard Industrial Bullion (AEIB) prices -- for platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium and ruthenium, effective September 2. The prices will be published on Platts Metals Alert real-time service Page 073 at 1:15 p.m./1315 Singapore/Hong Kong time (0515 GMT) and in Platts Metals Daily, in the Exchange-Traded and Third-Party Data table. Platts is proposing to make some changes to its publishing of Johnson Matthey prices for Asia, as follows: The current Platts Metals Alert Page 072 will update twice daily with platinum, palladium and rhodium prices as of 0830 Singapore/Hong Kong time (0030 GMT) and 1400 Singapore/Hong Kong time (0600 GMT), rather than once daily at 1500 Singapore time (0700 GMT). The label on the page will change from "Asia precious metals: Spot prices at 0700 GMT" to "Johnson Matthey Asia precious metals at 0830 or 1400." The Johnson Matthey Asian morning prices will continue to be published in Platts Metals Daily in the Exchange-Traded and Third-Party Data table. Platts is proposing to discontinue Johnson Matthey-provided Asian prices for gold and silver as published on PMA 072, effective October 1.
