Platts to suspend Marine Alert MOC spill-over page

Platts proposes to suspend Platts Marine Alert (PGT) page 954, with a tentative suspension date of August 20, 2012.

PGT page 954 is a continuation page for PGT page 953. Page 953 is widely used by readers to review bids, offers and trades published during the Platts Market on Close assessment process for shipping.

At the same time, Platts proposes to enhance page 953, adding more lines to allow for a fuller display of bids, offers, trades and trade summaries.

For greater clarity, page 953 will display each event as it is published, but will no longer append previous events to the body text.

This will allow the reader to more clearly associate each published event with its relevant headline, and simplify viewing the text published on page 954.
