Platts proposes to discontinue publishing assessments for Eagle Ford Postings Average

Platts, a part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to discontinue publishing assessments for the Eagle Ford Posting Average and its spread to the Eagle Ford Marker, effective Aug. 22, 2022.

Platts calculates the Eagle Ford Posting Average by collecting and averaging the posted prices from companies in the region. Currently it comprises posted crude oil prices from Enterprise Products Partners, Sunoco/Energy Transfer and Plains All American. Enterprise announced July 7 that it would permanently discontinue its crude oil postings beginning on Aug. 1, 2022.

Platts will continue to publish daily Eagle Ford crude posting prices from Plains and Sunoco/Energy Transfer, which can be found on Platts Global Alert page 250 and in North America Crude and Product Scan and Oilgram Price Report. Platts will also continue to publish the Eagle Ford Marker, which represents the value of a 47 degree API barrel of Eagle Ford crude oil, based on its product yield.

The proposed discontinuation affects the following codes:

Eagle Ford Posting Average: AAYAH00, AAYAH02, AAYAH03

Eagle Ford Postings Average vs Eagle Ford Marker: AAYAI00, AAYAI02, AAYAI03

The prices appear on Platts Global Alert pages 214, 215, 216, 260 and in Crude Oil Marketwire, North American Crude and Products Scan, Oilgram Price Report and the OPR Price Average Supplement.
