S&P Global Platts would like to clarify that its CFR Taiwan/China PX assessment reflects standard trades wherein a buyer does not state a requirement for a vessel that meets the vetting requirement of a specific company.
Platts may publish bids and trades where a buyer does state a vetting requirement. These indications may be subject to normalization for assessment purposes.
This follows observations and industry feedback that fungible trade in this market does not generally include a requirement for vessels that meet a particular company's vetting.
