Subscriber Note: Platts to begin weekly asphalt assessments on August 3

Following industry feedback, Platts will increase the frequency of its asphalt assessments to weekly from monthly starting August 3, 2012. Platts proposed to increase the frequency of assessments in a subscriber note published on April 23. Platts US asphalt assessments are currently published at the end of each month. From August 3, Platts will assess asphalt on each Friday (or last business day of the week), effective 2:15 p.m. CT. The assessment will take into account truck or rail volumes delivered to local markets, five to 10 days from date of publication, at the following locations: Arkansas; Colorado; Montana; California; Illinois; Georgia; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Ohio; Oklahoma; Kansas; Texas; Louisiana; Mid-Atlantic; Tampa. The last month-end assessments for July will be published on July 27. These weekly asphalt assessments will be published in the US Marketscan, Platts Oilgram Price Report and on Platts Global Alert page 1148.
