Platts to suspend Canada oil postings averages

Following a period of feedback, Platts confirms that it will suspend the publication of daily averages for crude oil posted prices from Canadian suppliers as proposed in subscriber note of May 3. Platts expects to stop publishing these averages with effect from October 12, 2012.

These averages, which are the simple average of individual postings, are published on Platts Global Alert page 253, in North American Crude Wire and Oilgram Price Report. Platts would continue to publish posted prices from the individual suppliers themselves. The individual postings are published in all stated newsletters, and on PGA page 252.
