SUBSCRIBER NOTE: CME CommodityDirect and Platts go live July 9

Starting July 9, the S&P Global Platts US aluminum team will begin sharing real-time market information with the US aluminum industry via CME CommodityDirect. Market participants will be able to communicate market insights or data on physical aluminum bids, offers and transactions directly with the Platts aluminum editorial team, as well as to monitor real-time physical market information from Platts.

CommodityDirect also enables direct communication with other market participants as well as providing access to the Aluminum MW US Transaction Premium Platts (AUP) futures market.

CME CommodityDirect is available on desktops or mobile devices.

The initiative is part of S&P Global Platts’ continuing effort to increase transparency and enable efficient markets. CME CommodityDirect is just one option for communicating with the Platts aluminum editorial team. The Platts aluminum team will continue to use all methods of communication to engage with the market, and the methodologies for Platts’ aluminum assessment process will not change as a result of the CME CommodityDirect initiative.
