Platts proposes to change incoterms for Brazil R-PET assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to change the incoterm for its price assessments for recycled polyethylene terephthalate in Brazil from Delivery Duty Paid to Delivered at Place, effective Aug. 20.

The proposed change to DAP, which implies that the seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specified destination, would more accurately represent current trade practices, according to market feedback, and aligns with Platts' methodology that reflects pricing excluding domestic taxes, specifically ICMS, PIS, COFINS and IPI, as detailed in the subscriber note available here.

This change would impact the following daily assessments, along with all associated averages and conversions:
