Platts is considering to formalize its existing editorial practices of assessing European T2 FOB Rotterdam ethanol at par with its T2 FOB Rotterdam German-spec assessment.
Platts has observed a noticeable shift in liquidity and market interest from its European T2 FOB Rotterdam assessment to the T2 FOB Rotterdam German-spec assessment, to the point that the German grade has been behaving as a core price indicator. Platts is commencing a period of industry feedback and comments on its proposal to formally assess the European T2 FOB Rotterdam ethanol quote fully at par with the T2 German-spec ethanol quote.
