Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has amended the specifications of five phosphate weekly price assessments, effective July 3.
The changes further tighten the assessment specifications in order to provide greater clarity and transparency.
A basis location and quantity specification are specified for each of the assessments to provide a more precise assessment of market value. Platts normalizes information to this point where necessary.
Platts has also changed the timing specification to loading five to 30 days forward to provide a more precise assessment of market value. Platts normalizes information to this point where necessary.
Platts has launched a single number "close" value for each of these assessments, with standardized high and low ranges $1/mt above (high) and below (low) the close value.
The revised specifications for the assessments read as follows:
FDPBB04 -- Diammonium Phosphate Bulk FOB Morocco $/mt Wkly |
· Quality: DAP with nitrogen content of 18% and a standard P2O5 content of 46% |
