Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has updated the range and typical specification of sulfur in petcoke for the CIF Turkey assessment (CPAGH00) from 4%-5.5% to 5%-6.5%, and from 5% to 5.5%, respectively, effective July 3, 2023. Petcoke with sulfur content outside this range will be normalized to this new standard for assessment purposes.
The changes capture a more reflective range and typical specification of sulfur, being continuously observed in the market, for petcoke imported and consumed in Turkey.
The assessment is published along with all our weekly petcoke assessments, heards, news and analysis in the Petcoke Weekly supplement to Coal Trader on Wednesdays and Coal Trader International on Thursdays.
