SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts adds specifications for Atlantic blast furnace iron ore pellets

Platts has published, starting July 1, underlying product specifications for the Atlantic Basin blast furnace iron ore pellets estimated monthly contract price, and for the associated pellet premium. The specifications are as follows: 65% Fe; Silica 3%; Alumina 0.5%; CCS 275; LTD +6.3 mm, 80; Sizing over 9 mm is 94%; Sizing below 6.3 mm 2.5%. The assessments are published in Platts SBB Steel Markets Daily, on Platts Metals Alert, and in the Platts SBB Steel Price Analyzer. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing.
