London (Platts)--2Jul2018/627 am EDT/1027 GMT S&P Global Platts is proposing to launch two weekly, delivered, duty paid European aluminum 6063 billet assessments from September 3, 2018.
The proposal is being made on the back of regular and increasing market demand for greater pricing intelligence for the aluminum billet market.
Platts is seeking feedback on the proposal by July 20.
Platts is proposing the specification to be 7-inch or 8-inch in diameter, basis delivered duty-paid in Germany or Italy as a differential to the LME cash price.
Further, Platts is proposing the payment terms to be 30 days for Germany and 60 days for Italy, with other payment terms being normalized according to Platts standards.
Unit and currency of measurement would be dollars per metric ton.
