London (Platts)--2Jul2018/949 am EDT/1349 GMT After extensive feedback, S&P Global Platts has discontinued its Northwest European propane CIF 1,000-3,000 mt coaster assessment with effect from Monday, July 2, 2018.
That followed a proposal published on April 30, 2018.
The subscriber note is available here: https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/26951636A. The decision was published May 29 and is available here: https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/26966391. Platts has discontinued the assessment due to a lack of observable spot trading on a CIF basis, as prevailing coaster activity is primarily done on an FOB basis.
The discontinuation impacts the daily assessment that appeared in the LPGaswire under the code PMAAZ00 and on Platts Global Alert page 1775.
Platts will continue to assess the Propane FOB NWE Seagoing market under the code PMABB00.
