With the US July 4 holiday falling on Wednesday this week, Platts is making changes to the normal assessment day of some US weekly assessments. All US bulk ferroalloy assessments, normally assessed on Wednesday, will move to Thursday, July 5. These include all US assessments for high and low-carbon ferrochrome, high-carbon and medium-carbon ferromanganese, silicomanganese and ferrosilicon. Additionally, the US 553 grade silicon metal assessment will also move this week to Thursday, July 5. All US noble alloys assessments that are normally assessed on Thursdays are not affected by the holiday change of schedule this week.
