Platts changes Kwh/MMBtu conversion factor

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has changed the conversion factor it uses between kilowatt-hour and metric million British thermal unit, effective July 1, 2024.

All Platts assessments and calculations will use 0.003412, and its reciprocal 293.1, to convert between Kwh and MMBtu.

This aligns Platts conversions with the US Energy Information Administration: https://www.eia.gov/outlooks/archive/aeo01/pdf/apph.pdf
