Effective July 1, 2015, Platts will change the delivery timing basis reflected in its spot US Gulf Coast polymer-grade propylene assessment to current delivery month (M1) and a next delivery month (M2) assessments from the current 3- to 30-day basis.
Additionally, Platts will change the frequency of publication, with the new spot assessments generated daily in lieu of the current Friday-only publication schedule.
Platts will roll the current delivery month into next delivery month three (3)
calendar days prior to the end of the month.
If this day falls on a weekend or holiday, Platts will roll its US olefins assessments to the next month on the next business day.
All other assessment parameters will remain in effect.
Spot PGP will remain assessed on a free-delivered (FD) basis into the US Gulf Coast pipeline system in Texas, with standard cargo size of 5 million-10 million lb and minimum purity of 99.5%.
Platts has also amended the description for its current PGP FD USG assessment to reflect the assessment of FD USG PGP in Month 1.
The following M1/M2 Propylene symbols have been created. They will appear in PCA 870 and PCA 309. The expected launch date is July 1, 2015.
