Platts to discontinue the Bunde-Oude codes on July 31

As announced in 2007, Platts halted assessment of Bunde-Oude German gas prices June 30, 2007, due to lack of liquidity and industry's use of the nearby TTF hub instead.

Since then Platts data codes for Bunde-Oude have continued to update, storing TTF prices under the Bunde-Oude codes.

The ongoing TTF price assessments also have been databased under their own code, which has been active since 2004.

Platts now intends to discontinue the Bunde-Oude codes effective July 3, 2009.

European Gas Daily, the print publication, is unaffected by these changes.
