Platts discontinues weekly UAN FOB Black Sea assessment from June 30

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has discontinued its urea ammonium nitrate FOB Black Sea assessment, effective June 30. The last publishing date for the assessment was June 26.

The decision to discontinue this assessment reflected a lack of FOB trade out of the Black Sea, with sales of Russian UAN largely concluded on a CFR basis. UAN is being delivered on a CFR basis or transported by producers to Europe and the Americas for distribution.

Platts already publishes relevant CFR assessments for the specified product.

The assessment appeared under the symbol FUANA04 in the Nitrogen Market Report and the Platts price database on Platts Connect.

A proposal to discontinue the assessment was published here March 31. A decision note outlining the discontinuation was published here April 15.
