Asia LNG physical Platts Market on Close incrementability changes

For the Market on Close assessment process, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is changing the incrementability guidelines to allow bids and offers for Asia LNG physical to improve by up to 5 cents/MMBtu every 30 seconds, in line with standard timing and increments. This is as opposed to the current 10 cents/MMBtu every 30 seconds.

The standard timing and increments for the APAC MOC process can be found here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/PlattsContent/_assets/_files/en/our-methodology/methodology-specifications/lngtiming.pdf

The incrementability guidelines for Asia LNG derivatives will remain unchanged, as a temporary measure, to allow for bids and offers to improve by up to 20 cents/MMBtu every 30 seconds.

The change for Asia LNG physical reflects the current volatility in the market due to European gas market price movements.

Platts reserves the right to change incrementability guidelines in the MOC process throughout the day depending on evolving market conditions.

These changes apply to the Platts JKM, WIM and MEM assessments, until further notice.
