SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to standardize European SBR FOB basis specification

Following industry consultation, S&P Global Platts has decided to standardize the specification of its European styrene butadiene rubber FOB weekly assessments, effective July 28, 2017.

Platts FOB assessments for Emulsion SBR and Solution SBR are basis NWE. In addition to Rotterdam, ESBR and SSBR assessments reflect all major Northwest European ports including ports in Italy and Spain. Platts has decided to align all descriptions used for Northwest European SBR FOB assessments with those in place for SBR FD. On July 28, existing FOB Rotterdam descriptions will change to FOB NWE.

SBR assessments are published on PCA page 752, in Platts Olefinscan and in market data category HP.
