Platts to update Dubai, Oman swap database

Platts plans to update the descriptions and market data categories applied to the codes used for databasing assessments of Oman and Dubai swaps.

With effect from August 1, Platts will rename all values databased under the description "MOG Swaps" as "Oman Swaps."

This will align Platts database descriptions with descriptions for these assessments that were adopted in all other publications in October, 2010.

At the same time, Platts will rename values databased as "Dubai Swaps NY" as "Dubai Swaps Spore," reflecting the fact that these assessments are done from Singapore, and republished for US readers.

Platts will move the above mentioned Oman swaps assessment data from Platts database dispatch category "RI: International Crude" to category "DA: Asia Derivatives."

Affected Dubai Swaps will move from category RI to category "DU: US Derivatives".
