Houston (Platts)--26Jun2018/252 pm EDT/1852 GMT Effective Monday, July 2, 2018, S&P Global Platts will start publishing Renewable Volume Obligation for 2019, in accordance with the recent release of the proposed blending mandates under the Renewable Fuel Standard by the Environmental Protection Agency.
RVO is the aggregate cost of the Renewable Identification Number percentages per gallon of transportation fuel as the US Environmental Protection Agency mandated in the Renewable Fuel Standard Program (RFS2).
This launch is in line with the Platts methodology which states that Platts will launch RVO assessments in line with RIN assessments, where year-ahead RIN assessments are launched on the first working day of July of the prior year of the corresponding RVO.
Platts will calculate 2019 RVO factoring the value of D6, D4, D5 and D3 RIN credits as assessed by Platts.
The 2019 RVO calculation will be:
Biodiesel Ethanol Adv. biofuel Cellulosic 2019 RVO 1.72% 8.21% 0.741% 0.209%
The assessment will appear under code RVOY019, in the Platts Biofuelscan, the US Marketscan and on the Platts Biofuels Alert page 302.
