SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts to discontinue 8 EMEA steel assessments

S&P Global Platts will discontinue eight of its EMEA steel assessments on September 3, 2018 due to changes in product flows and production. The last assessment day would be on August 31, 2018. This follows a period of market consultation since June 7.

The assessments S&P Global Platts will discontinue are:

CFR Middle East Rebar (SB01201) CFR HDG Middle East (SB01122) CIF Medium Sections S. Europe (SB01161) DDP Europe Wire Rod Mesh Quality (SB01246) CIF S. Europe Wire Rod Mesh Quality (SB01247) DDP Welded Tube Europe (SB01258) DDP N. Europe Engineering Steel (SB01102) CIF HDG S. Europe (SB01121)

S&P Global Platts will discontinue these assessments as a result of changing market dynamics and a lack of spot trading activity in the above mentioned markets.

Following market feedback, Platts will retain these assesments: EXW S. Europe Plate (SB01185) CIF Antwerp Plate (STPRA00)
