Beginning July 1, 2009, Platts will introduce a supplemental assessment for the US Atlantic Coast residual fuel market.
The supplemental assessment, No.6 1%S, reflects 150 ppm aluminum and silicon (al+si) maximum.
The existing No.6 1%S assessment will continue to reflect 200 ppm al+si maximum until December 31, 2009.
On January 4, 2010, the Platts US Atlantic Coast No.6 1S assessment will reflect 150 ppm al+si and the supplemental assessment will no longer be published.
