Platts proposes USAC anymonth ethanol assessments

Platts is proposing to change its current US Atlantic Coast ethanol assessment to an any month basis from a 5-15 day dated basis, and to add a second month any-month basis assessment beginning September 1, 2010.

The front-month assessment will roll to the next month 8 calendar days before the end of the month. For example, the front-month assessment for September in the month of September will roll over to October on September 23, while the second month assessment will reflect November liftings. If this date falls on a weekend, the front-month assessment will roll on the next business day.

The publication label for the existing USAC ethanol assessment will change in US Marketscan to "Ethanol NYH Barge (M1)." The publication label will change in Oilgram Price Report to "Ethanol NYH (M1)." The publication label in Refiner and Platts Global Alert will remain as "New York Harbor Barge" with the month (M1) added to it. The code description for the existing USAC ethanol assessment will change to "Ethanol NYH Barge Month 1."
