Platts adds SEAM as pricing basis to APAC LNG physical cargo eWindow

Following the launch of DES Southeast Asia (SEAM) price assessments Oct. 23, 2023, S&P Global Commodity Insights has added SEAM as a pricing basis on the eWindow communication tool for the Platts Asia-Pacific LNG physical cargo Market on Close assessment process, effective June 21.

The following pricing basis has been added to the eWindow: LNG DES Southeast Asia Marker (SEAM) LNJSA00.

Platts assesses SEAM as a differential to Platts JKM as well as on an outright basis, reflecting the value of spot LNG cargoes delivered into Southeast Asia, with Thailand as the basis.

With this addition, participants in the MOC process are able to select this pricing basis when submitting bids and offers for Platts LNG physical cargoes delivered to destinations in Asia, including the JKTC, IDK and Southeast Asia hubs, for publication directly through the eWindow, or do so through a Platts editor who would then publish the bids and offers using the tool.
