SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes change to Rotterdam premiums frequency

S&P Global Platts proposes effective August 5, 2016 to change the frequency of all of its in-warehouse Rotterdam zinc, tin and lead assessments from weekly to monthly, to better align price assessment frequency with spot market liquidity and trading patterns, in response to market feedback.

Each affected assessment will be published on the third Wednesday of each month, instead of weekly on Fridays, making the first date for monthly assessments August 17, 2016.

The Platts assessments affected by this change are as follows: Lead 99.985% Premium Rotterdam (code MMAYV04); European physical lead IW Rotterdam (all-in price) (MMAMS00); Zinc SHG Premium Rotterdam (MMAYN04); European physical SHG zinc IW Rotterdam (all-in price) (MMALC00); Tin 99.85% Premium Rotterdam (MMAYM04); Tin 99.90% Premium Rotterdam (MMAYL04); Tin Europe 99.85% IW Rotterdam (all-in price) (MMANS04); and Tin Europe 99.90% IW Rotterdam (all-in price) (MMANT04). Please submit any feedback, comments or questions about this proposal to: Henry Van, henry.van@spglobal.com and Ben Kilbey, ben.kilbey@spglobal.com, with a cc to pricemethodology@platts.com by July 5.
