Platts to assess USD denominated petrochemicals, biofuels

Following an internal review, Platts plans to publish the following petrochemical and biofuels spot price assessments, previously only denominated in Euro/mt or Euro/cubic meters, in US dollars.

Weekly and monthly averages will also be published for the new US-dollar denominated assessments.

Changes will take place from July 16, 2012.

The assessments can be found in PolymerScan and Petrochemical Alert under PCA615, PCA614 for Ethanol, PCA346 and PCA1160 for methanol, PCA332 for Orthoxylene, PCA375 and PCA335 for Paraxylene, PCA300 for ethylene, PCA312 for butadiene, PCA433 for MEG, PCA308 for propylene, PCA 280 for Polypropylene, PCA506 for PET and PCA268 for LLDPE.
