SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts changes timing of US intraday refined products assessments

Following a period of industry feedback and a formal proposal published April 18, S&P Global Platts has changed the timing of its intraday refined product assessments in the US with effect from Monday, June 20, 2016.

Platts previously published assessments for key US gasoline and middle distillate markets at 10 am, 12 noon and 2 pm Eastern time, with additional intraday assessments for East Coast gasoline cargoes published shortly after 1 pm Eastern.

Starting June 20, Platts will now publish the first set of intraday assessments shortly after 10 am Eastern and a second set shortly after the London market close at 4:30 pm UK time, which for most of the year is 11:30 am Eastern.

The second set of intraday assessments will include assessments for US Atlantic Coast gasoline cargoes at the London close.

These changes reflect the increasingly interconnected global markets for refined products by publishing relative values for similar grades of gasoline and middle distillates at the same time in Europe and the US.

Platts will not be changing the current scope of intraday assessments, which are detailed below, but the timing change will impact the following assessments:
