Platts is pleased to announce the launch of a new publication, Dry Freight Wire, with the first issue to be published on June 25, 2014. This newsletter will carry daily price assessments and commentary featuring a range of dry freight assessments for iron ore, coal, alumina, bauxite, grains, sugar and polymers. The Dry Freight Wire will combine and complement existing Platts dry freight assessments, and contain a raft of new assessments. Following extensive research and feedback from the market, Platts will launch 72 new daily dry freight assessments with this new report. These assessments will be published for a limited time across all Platts real-time information services, including Platts Global Alert, Platts Metals Alert, European Power Alert, Platts Petrochemical Alert, Platts Biofuels Alert, Platts Natural Gas Alert page. They will also appear in the Dry Freight Wire and in the Platts assessment database in the Market Data Categories, and under the daily database codes, shown in the table below. The full list can be found online at this link: http://plts.co/1nMQZpD Each daily code will also have an associated monthly average code, which ends in "03" instead of the "00" shown for daily codes below. All assessments will be in dollars per metric ton. Please send comments and feedback to shipping@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available to the public upon request.
