Subscriber note: Platts, Kingsman propose biofuel price integration globally

Platts and Kingsman, which have published similar price assessments and indications globally for various biofuel and biofuel-related commodities, now propose to integrate and enhance them with the adoption of existing Platts methodology where appropriate. The integrated assessments, as listed below, will adopt the Platts methodology and guidelines effective July 15, 2013. The integrated Platts and Kingsman biofuels group further proposes enhancing assessments previously made only by Kingsman, continuing them with a methodology developed over the course of a consultation period that will adhere to Platts editorial standards. A further proposal is to discontinue some assessments or indexes currently published by Kingsman only. The affected assessments and indexes are listed below within their corresponding proposal category. Feedback and comment is invited on these proposals by August 19, 2013, with a view to implementing the proposals by October 1 2013.
