Platts proposes to discontinue its fuel oil United Kingdom/Continent-Mediterranean 27.5kt dirty tanker freight assessment, reflecting the fact that with newer vessels, traffic on this route is now 30 kt.
These rates are published in the Platts dirty Tankerwire and on PlattsGlobal Alert page 946. Platts proposes to discontinue this assessment on November 1, 2012. This covers assessment codes:

AAKXI00 -27.5kt UKC-Med Monthly average worldscale
AAKXT00 -27.5kt UKC-Med Daily $/mt
