Platts proposes to change timestamp for Middle East Marker LNG assessments

S&P Global Platts is proposing to shift the time stamp for its Middle East Marker LNG assessments to reflect the prevailing value at 16:30 Singapore time, effective August 16, 2019.

The proposed change from the current time stamp of 16:30 London time would better align the timestamp with Asia LNG trading hours to reflect trading activity for LNG cargoes delivered to ports in the Middle East. The basis ports for the Middle East Marker (MEM) are Mina Al Ahmadi, Kuwait, Jebel Ali, UAE and Ruwais, UAE.

Platts is seeking feedback on this proposal by July 4, 2019.
