Platts proposes to launch assessments for the value of Reformulated Blendstock for Oxygenate Blending (RBOB) unleaded gasoline and No. 2 heating oil futures contracts that prevail on the New York Mercantile Exchange at the close of Platts' Market on Close assessment process in Singapore.
These new futures assessments, which would be launched to meet requests from subscribers, would be provided for the first three months trading on NYMEX.
The futures contracts would be expressed in dollars a gallon.
Platts would list futures until they expire on the exchange. Platts proposes to launch the new assessments on August 2.
The assessment will appear on Platts Global Alert (page to be announced), and in Asia Pacific/Arab Gulf Marketscan, European Marketscan, and Oilgram Price Report.
Please send all initial feedback and comments by July 5 to asia_products@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
