Platts to Launch CFR Indonesia granular sulfur assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch a weekly assessment for granular sulfur on a CFR Indonesia basis, effective July 13, 2023.

The new assessment will be published in the Fertecon Sulphur Weekly Report. The assessment is designed to capture growing sulfur flows into Indonesia to support the expansion of the Indonesia nickel processing industry.

The specifications for the new assessment are as follows:

Quality: Granular sulfur in bulk

Quantity: Basis 35,000-50,000 mt

Basis and location: CFR Indonesia basis Gresik. Information from other major ports in Indonesia handling sulfur cargoes (including: Bahodopi, Obi Island, Weda Bay) normalized.

Timing: Loading one-three months forward

Frequency: Weekly, Thursdays
