Platts proposes to launch a new assessment for 500 CST, 3.5% sulfur bunker fuel delivered basis Rotterdam. The new assessment, which Platts proposes to launch on August 1, 2014, would be published alongside all existing Rotterdam bunker fuel assessments.
The specification typically reflected in the new assessment will typically conform to ISO 8217: 2010 specifications, category ISO-F, RMK 500. Specification and assessment parameters will be detailed in Platts' Europe and Africa Refined Oil Products Methodology and Specifications Guide at the time of launch.
The new assessment will sit within Platts' existing assessment parameters for bunker fuel across Europe and Africa. The assessment will reflect the value of oil loading assessed at 1630 London time, for loasing one to eight days forward. During UK public holidays, the time stamp associated with the assessment may change and Platts will publish changes to its typical publishing schedule when the need arises. The assessment will reflect typical barge sizes of 300-1,000 mt.
