Platts implements changes to European cobalt coverage

S&P Global Platts has changed specifications of Cobalt 99.8% Europe assessment to reflect volumes of max 100 mt and include broken cathodes, briquettes and cut cathodes, effective June 15, aligning it with the prevailing market practice.

The assessment is now published on a daily basis and follows Platts London Calendar.

As part of the change, Platts has also launched weekly, monthly and annual averages for this assessment.

The affected assessments are published in Metals Daily and Metals Week Supplements, on the Platts real-time Alert fixed pages:

Daily Cobalt prices - PMA0375, MTL0375,

Metals Monthly averages: Ferroalloys - PMA0664, MTL0664, STL0664
