Platts has launched two new points in Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line's Zone 5. The two new points - Transco, zone 5 delivered North and Transco zone 5 delivered South - are subsets of the current Platts point, Transco, zone 5 delivered, which will stay as-is.
The two points were added due to recurring price disparities north and south of Station 165. The changes apply to Platts' North American natural gas daily and monthly price surveys.
The new locations will appear as follows:
Transco, Zone 5 delivered South (daily and monthly surveys): Deliveries from Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line on the 30-inch, 36-inch and 42-inch lines from the Georgia/South Carolina border up to and including Station 165 in Virginia. Deliveries from Transco north of Station 165 are not included.
Transco, Zone 5 delivered North (daily survey only): Deliveries from the Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line on the 30-inch, 36-inch and 42-inch lines north of Station 165 to the Virginia/Maryland border. Deliveries into Transco at the Pleasant Valley receipt point near Fairfax, Virginia, from Dominion's Cove Point LNG terminal are not included.
The Transco, Zone 5 delivered South listing will appear in the "Northeast" section in Gas Daily, Inside FERC's Gas Market Report, Energy Trader and Gas Daily Price Guide, and on Platts Natural Gas Alert pages 1301 and 1309.
Additionally, it will appear in the "Northeast" section of the "Bidweek Physical Basis Prices" table in Inside FERC's Gas Market Report and on Natural Gas Alert page 1317.
The Transco, Zone 5 delivered North listing will appear in the "Northeast" section in Gas Daily, Energy Trader and Gas Daily Price Guide, and on Natural Gas Alert page 1301.
There is not sufficient liquidity at this time to add a Zone 5 North index to the monthly Bidweek survey. Platts will continue to monitor liquidity over time.
