CLARIFICATION NOTE: Platts clarifies specs reflected in its CIF Japan aluminum assessments

S&P Global Platts wishes to clarify the metallurgical properties reflected in its CIF Japan aluminum assessment process.

The Platts CIF Japan premium assessments reflect the P1020A LME specification, which contains: minimum 99.7% Aluminum; maximum 0.2% iron, 0.1% silicon, 0.03% zinc, 0.04% gallium and 0.03% vanadium. This is valid for both the CIF Japan Spot Premium and CIF Japan Forward Quarter Premium assessments.
