S&P Global Platts is proposing to update its European Petrochemicals methodology for its styrene butadiene rubber FOB weekly assessments, effective July 28, 2017. Platts FOB assessments for Emulsion SBR and Solution SBR are basis NWE. In addition to Rotterdam, ESBR and SSBR assessments reflect all major Northwest European ports including Italy and Spain. Platts is proposing to align all descriptions used for Northwest European SBR FOB assessments with those in place for SBR FD. Under this proposal, where existing descriptions state FOB Rotterdam these will change to FOB NWE. SBR assessments are published on PCA page 752, in Platts Olefinscan and in market data category HP. Platts invites feedback on this proposal by June 28, 2017. Please direct comments to pl_petchems_ln@spglobal.com with a copy to pricemethodology@spglobal.com.
