Following industry feedback, S&P Global Platts has revised the published specifications for South 32's Illawarra coal brand effective immediately.
The published specifications of CSR, VM, TM, ash, sulfur, phosphorous, maximum fluidity and vitrinite content will be changed. Platts will publish these values in the Platts Daily Asia Pacific Metallurgical Coal Relativities table in SBB Steel Markets Daily.
The specification for Illawarra is revised to: 73% CSR, 23.5% VM, 10% TM, 9.5% ash, 0.45% sulfur, 0.06% phosphorous, 2000 ddpm maximum fluidity, 58% vitrinite from 73% CSR, 23.2% VM, 10% TM, 9.5% ash, 0.45% sulfur, 0.06% phosphorous, 1200 ddpm maximum fluidity, 53% vitrinite
