SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to replace 90 day CIF ARA in associated publications

In light of a decision to discontinue its 90 day thermal coal CIF ARA assessment, S&P Global Platts will update its methodology and replace the assessment in several tables and publications from July 9, 2018.

Platts will replace the 90 day CIF ARA assessment price (CSABG00) with the 15-60 day CIF ARA assessment price (CSARM01) in the following publication tables:

1) Steam coal prices ($/mt) table in Power in Europe 2) Europe ($/MMBtu) table in LNG Daily

Platts will also replace month-ahead and quarter-ahead components in Platts Generating fuel cost comparisons with the month-ahead and quarter-ahead financial contracts (CSAM001, CSAQ001).

Platts Generating fuel cost comparisons are published in European Power Daily and European Gas Daily, on European Power Alert pages EP0502, EP0503 and in Market Data category EE.
