Platts planns July 1 to discontinue its on-road Chicago low sulfur diesel assessments due to the US Environmental Protection Agency ban on refiners producing 500 ppm low sulfur diesel fuel for highway use after June 1. The last publication date for the Chicago LS Diesel assessment would be June 30.
Explorer Pipeline already stopped shipping on-road LS diesel into Chicago on April 1. If liquidity patterns change in this market, Platts may decide to move up this discontinuation date, and will notify its subscribers promptly.
The Chicago on-road LS diesel assessment is published on Platts Global Alert page 275, Oilgram Price Report, US Marketscan, and Platts Dispatch.
