SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts global jet assessments reflect updated Defstan 91-091

Following an updated numbering system, Platts European, Americas, Middle East and Asian jet fuel assessments will now reflect Defence Standard 91-091 as defined by the UK Ministry of Defence and the Joint Fueling System Checklist.

Platts understands the UK Ministry of Defence, the guardians of the Defence Standard for Jet A1, introduced a standardized 5 digit numbering system for specifications toward the end of 2016 and DEFSTAN was renumbered as 91-091. It was previously numbered 91-91.

Platts clarifies that the move to 91-091 is a change in name alone. The UK Ministry of Defence updates DEFSTAN 91-091 periodically and Platts reflects the latest issue.
