Platts decides to amend Western Europe sugar assessment

S&P Global Platts has decided to remove the UK country assessment (SGAEF04) from the Western Europe regional assessment (SGBBB00).

This follows a consultation note which was launched on Nov. 27, 2020, and extended to April 30, 2021, which can be found here: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/012921-platts-extends-consultation-period-on-european-sugar-assessments

A proposal note was also published on May 5, which can be found here: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/050521-platts-proposes-amendment-to-western-europe-sugar-assessment

This move means that the Western Europe assessment will only comprise the average of the France, Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany country assessments.
