Platts proposes converting weekly FOB coal assessments to daily assessments

S&P Global Platts seeks market feedback on a proposal to convert the four weekly FOB assessments for US physical thermal coal to daily assessments in Coal Trader and Coal Trader International, effective July 22, 2019.

This methodology change will impact the following assessments and codes:

FOB Baltimore, 6,900 kcal/kg NAR, 3% sulfur (CUATB04);

FOB Baltimore, 6,000 kcal/kg NAR, 3% sulfur (CUADA04);

FOB Hampton Roads, 6,000 kcal/kg NAR, 1% sulfur (CUAEA04);

FOB New Orleans, 6,000 kcal/kg NAR, 3% sulfur (CUAFA04).
