Proposed Weekly Feeder Crude methodology change

Platts is proposing to revise its methodology for assessing Weekly Feeder Crudes to reflect Monday through Friday averages, effective August 6, 2010.

Currently, the Weekly Feeder Crudes -- including Yields, Netbacks, Freight and Spot prices -- are calculated every Friday as averages of the prior five business days.

For example, Feeder Crudes published on Friday, May 14, were derived by averaging daily prices effective Friday, May 7, through Thursday, May 13.

Feeder Crudes are currently published every Friday morning, and are available at that time to subscribers of Platts Global Alert (PGA) and Platts Dispatch.

Under this proposal, the Weekly Feeder Crudes would be published via PGA and Platts Dispatch every Friday evening, and reflect that week's Monday-through-Friday average.

In the case of a holiday, the Feeder assessments will be published the prior business day. Weekly Feeder Crudes will continue to be published in the Oilgram Price Report/OPR Extra every Monday.

The Weekly Feeder Crudes are published in the Oilgram Price Report/OPR Extra, Platts Dispatch, and on PGA Pages MH0173-MH0177, MH0885, and MH0960-MH0969.
