Platts discontinued USGC on-road LSD pipeline

Effective June 2, Platts has discontinued its on-road US Gulf Coast LS Diesel pipeline assessments.

Colonial Pipeline has stopped shipping on-road LSD at origin after the 31st cycle, which scheduled on June 1. The discontinuation is due to the US Environmental Protection Agency's ban on refiners producing 500 ppm low sulfur diesel fuel for domestic on-road use after June 1.

The on-road LSD pipeline assessment is published on Platts Global Alert page 571, Oilgram Price Report, US Marketscan, and Platts Dispatch, as well as an intraday Platts Cash Indications page 298. Platts has decided to continue publishing its US Gulf Coast LS Diesel waterborne assessment as there is an export market in the US Gulf Coast for 500 ppm sulfur diesel.
